THE TAMING OF THE SHREW

Kerikeri Theatre Company is thrilled to present: "The Taming of the Shrew" by William Shakespeare for our 2024 Summer Shakespeare at Kainui Vineyard!

This year, we're taking a delightful turn from the dark tragedy of "Macbeth" to the sparkling wit and humor of "The Taming of the Shrew". Set against the backdrop of the fun and vibrant 1960s, this classic comedy comes alive with a modern twist, promising an evening full of laughter and lively energy.

After the resounding success of our previous productions, "The Taming of the Shrew" is set to be another outstanding offering from the Kerikeri Theatre Company. Staged at the beautiful Kainui Vineyard and Brewery, this open-air venue provides the perfect setting for an evening of Shakespearean fun and frolic, marking our fifth consecutive year at this wonderful location.

General Admission tickets are available at just $37 per adult or $25 per student (18 and under). Want to enhance your experience? Our limited 4-seater gazebos are back, offering a cozy spot for your group – but hurry, they won't last long!

When: There will be six performances on the 15th, 16th, 17th, 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of February 2024.

Doors open at 6 PM, and the show starts at 7 PM (beer, wine, and snacks available before, during, and after the show).

GENERAL ADMISSION

You save $5 when you order your tickets online, in advance! General admission tickets sell for just $37 per adult or $25 per student (18 and under). Your ticket allows entry to one performance. General admission tickets are for open lawn seating – please feel free to bring something to make the ground a little more comfortable.

LIMITED VIP GAZEBO

We will also have our fabulous Limited VIP Gazebo’s available to purchase. There are only 6 Gazebos available per night. Each Gazebo seats four people and comes with a complimentary glass of beer or wine and a grazing platter to share.
